The SUPERSTAR of the Bhojpuri Film Industry RAVI KISHAN. Ravi Kishan is an Indian Actor mostly known for his work in Bhojpuri Film Industry and a very popular television personality.

Ravi Kishan, his full name is Ravi Kishan Shukla and his nickname is “Babbu”. He was born on 17 July 1969 in Santacruz in Mumbai. Since his childhood, he is not interested in studies. He did not like it, he is interested in the film industry. From the start, Film Industry always fascinated him.

His father is Pandit Shyam Narayan Shukla who has Dairy Business in Mumbai but when Ravi kishan is approx 10 years old, he had to shut down his business and they moved to their hometown “Bisuin” in Kerakat Tehsil situated in the district of “Jaunpur” in Uttar Pradesh.

There they started doing farming. After some time, his mother “Jadvati Devi”, give him 500 rupees for his dreams. He again moved to Mumbai and struggles a lot for the fame and name he have now. In the beginning, he had done may jobs for the survival in Mumbai. At last, his dedication shows its result and he got an offer from the hindi film “Pitambar” in 1992 and now days he charges 20-30 lakhs per film.

Ravi Kishan has worked in Hindi and Bhojpuri Films along with Telugu, Kannada and Punjabi movies. His debut Bhojpuri Film is “Saiya Hamar” in 2003. He has also worked in many TV shows like “Big Boss Season 1”, in 2006, this gave him a huge popularity as he was one of the finalist, the dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 in 2012, “Bathroom Singer”, “Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka”, “Sales Ka Bazigar” and as a judge in “Sur sangram”.

He has also worked with many talented film directors such as “Shyam Bengal” and “Mani Ratnam” in 2010. In 2007 he dubbed the Bhojpuri Version of Peter Parker’s or Spider man’s voice for the film “Spider Man”. This was first ever Hollywood movie to be dubbed in Bhojpuri regional language along with telugu and kannada. Also his work in “Luck” and “Tere Naam” needs a special mention.

His film “Jala Debh Duniya Tohra Pyar Mein” produced by an American film company PUN films, was shown in the India Pavilion at the “Cannes Film Festival” in 2010. He had received many awards for his work and contribution in Bhojpuri Film Industry. He received Most Popular Actor Awards at the “ETV Bhojpuri Cinema Samman” in 2008 and Most Popular Actor 2014 in BIFA.

Ravi Kishan’s wife is Preeti Kishan and they have four children including three daughter and one son. Daughters are Tanisha, Ishita and Reva and son Sakasham.
In 2014 Ravi Kishan joined INC (Congress) party and in 2017 he quit and joined BJP.

Recently Ravi Kishan and Guy Ratchanont Suprakob from Thailand have joined hands for an Indo-Thai project based on Gautam Buddha and also he is enjoying the positive reactions from the audience for film “Shahenshah”.
